Group Head of Human Resources Robert Zeltner to retire, succeeded by Thomas Hammer

After 20 years with UBS in various senior management positions, Group Head of Human Resources and member of the Group Managing Board Robert Zeltner has decided to retire in 2003. He will be succeeded by Thomas Hammer, currently managing partner of Egon Zehnder International in Switzerland.

Thomas Hammer will join Group Human Resources in autumn 2002, initially reporting to Robert Zeltner. From 1 March 2003, he will fully assume the role of Group Head of Human Resources.

Thomas Hammer joined Egon Zehnder International in 1991 and is currently one of its Managing Partners. He has advised many financial institutions on human resources strategy and is a graduate of the Swiss Universities of Zurich and Geneva as well as the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne.
