With our initiatives, we take on the role of initiator and coordinator. We pick up on neglected and urgent, under-financed subjects that display great potential for a sustainable change. For this, we seek leading not-for-profit-organizations and research institutes and establish a network of potential partners who have the expertise to solve problems. Initiatives are supported with a sum of CHF 1 to 2 million a year over the course of seven to ten years.

We are currently running two initiatives, the ‘Optimus Study' to combat the sexual abuse of children and the ‘Stop Buruli' initiative for research on the insidious Buruli ulcer disease.
