UBS wins the main prize
"Best Global Private Bank"

The Global Private Banking Awards are conferred annually by The Banker and PWM, both publications of the Financial Times Group. The Global Private Banking Awards’ objective is to gather qualitative and quantitative information from private banking institutions to be able to bestow a set of awards for excellence.

In 2013 UBS won the main award "Best Global Private Bank". Besides this global prize UBS also won the regional award "Best Private Bank in Asia" and ranked first in the categories "Best Brand in Private Banking" and "Best Performing Private Bank".

In the Global Private Banking Awards banks are judged on their business and growth strategy and on their strategic and operational business progress. Some of the many criteria evaluated are their client relationship management as well as their product strategy adjusted to meet investors' changing needs. Due to recent developments in global markets, due diligence and risk management have also become key areas of evaluation. The submissions are judged by an expert panel of eight industry professionals and the quantitative evaluation is strongly supported by the 'Private Banking Benchmark Study' carried out by the Scorpio Partnership*.
