Carsten Kengeter
Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Bank;
Member of the UBS Group Executive Board
Carsten Kengeter is CEO of the Investment Bank and became a member of the Group Executive Board on 27 April 2009. He joined UBS in September 2008 and acted as the joint Global Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) from April 2009 - January 2010.
Previously, Carsten Kengeter worked for Goldman Sachs as co-Head of Asia ex-Japan Securities Division in Hong Kong. In 2003, he co-headed the European FICC and Structured Equities Distribution in London and in 2002 he became Partner and Head of FICC German Region, Frankfurt. In 2000, he was made Head of European and Asian CDO Business in London. Before that he was in Derivatives Marketing in Frankfurt. From 1992 to 1997, Carsten Kengeter worked for Barclays de Zoete Wedd setting up their credit derivatives trading desk.
Carsten holds a BA in Business Administration from Middlesex University, a Diplom-Betriebswirt from FH Reutlingen, and a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics.
