Paolo Magri is the Executive Vice President of ISPI and Professor of International Relations at Bocconi University. He is a member of the Strategic Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; member of the Europe Policy Group of the World Economic Forum (Davos); member of the Advisory Board of Assolombarda and of the Board of Directors of LUISS and the Italy-China Foundation. Michael Spence

Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001

Bio:

Michael Spence is the former dean of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a professor at NYU Stern and chairman of the Commission on Growth and Development. His colleagues call his mind a race car and describe this thought leader as a good friend. Spence changed microeconomics by showing that markets aren’t always equipped with perfect information. Spence is above all a macroeconomist focused on economic growth and poverty reduction. As a Canadian-born American citizen who has lived in the US, Asia and Europe, he’s trotting the globe like no other. He considers this rewarding because it helps him to understand "each individual place, to some extent, less from a distance, through eyes across the Atlantic."

Paul Donavon

UBS Global Wealth Management Chief Economist

Bio:

Paul Donovan is Head of Economics at UBS Global Wealth Management. He joined UBS in 1992 as a junior economist at the Investment Bank. As Head of Economics, he is a member of the House View Investment Forum, a thought leader at UBS and a member of UBS Pride and the UBS Art Board. He is also a member of the UBS Institute for Sustainability and Impact. Paul has been actively involved in the UBS Nobel Perspectives program and supports the UBS Women in Economics program. Paul holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MA in Financial Economics from the University of London. He is also an Honorary Fellow of St Anne's College, Oxford and sits on the investment committee and development board. He is a member of the Research Advisory Board of Open for Business, a supervisor of the Directors' Institute's diversity committee, and a member of the World Economic Forum's Community of Economists and the Global Future Council on growth.

Barry Gill

UBS Asset Management, Head of Investments

Bio:

Barry Gill was appointed Head of Investments in November 2019 and is a member of the UBS Asset Management Management Team. He was Head of Active Equities within UBS Asset Management from early 2016 and, before that, joined O’Connor in 2012 as a member of the management group where he ran a concentrated long/short strategy. Prior to joining O’Connor, Barry was head of the Fundamental Investment Group (Americas) for nearly six years within UBS Investment Bank, investing and trading the firm's principal capital. Barry moved to the US in 2000 from London to rebuild the long / short principal investing effort within Equities following the creation of O’Connor as a hedge fund business. In his five years in London at SBC and UBS, he was co-head of Pan-European Sector Trading, a proprietary book, and co-head of European Risk Program Trading for two years, preceded by two years as the head of the French trading book. Barry joined SBC's European derivatives desk as a graduate trainee in 1995.

Massimiliano Castelli

UBS Asset Management, Head Global Strategy, Global Sovereign Markets

Bio:

As Head of Global Strategy he analyzes the market trends affecting the investment behavior of central banks, sovereign wealth funds and other state-controlled investment institutions and work closely with the investment teams in providing investment advice and developing tailored investment solutions for this client segment. Max established himself as a global thought leader on the macroeconomic, financial and political trends in sovereign wealth management. He has often been called in by leading institutions as an expert on global economic and financial matters. Max has recently published The New Economics of Sovereign Wealth Funds in the Wiley Finance Series, a book providing a thorough guide to sovereign wealth funds, covering the drivers of the industry, how it operates and grows, the interest from and in Western markets and the pivotal role that sovereign wealth funds play in the world economy. In his sixteen year long international professional career, Max has been Head of governmental affairs for UBS in Europe, Middle East and Africa, EMEA Senior Economist and consultant advising governments and corporates in emerging markets on behalf of international institutions. Max holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Rome where he lectured and a Msc in Economics from the University of London. He is a member of the Executive Committed of the Asset Management Investment Council (ICMA) and a Fellow at the Centre for International Markets, Money and Regulations at Bocconi University.

Angus Muirhead

UBS Asset Management, Head of Thematic Equities

Bio:

Angus has been appointed Head of Thematic Equities at UBS Asset Management in September 2023. He was Head of Equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Lead Portfolio Manager for the Robotics strategy. Angus joined the Credit Suisse Thematic Equity team in 2016 as a Senior Portfolio Manager. He started his investment career in 1997 as a buy-side equity analyst at Phillips & Drew Fund Management in London before moving to Tokyo in 2000 to focus on the Japanese technology and health-care sectors. In 2007, he moved to Zurich as a portfolio manager specializing in global technology and health-care-related thematic equity funds. Angus holds a bachelor’s degree in Modern Japanese Language and Business Studies from Durham University, United Kingdom, including a year of study at Kumamoto University, Japan, and is a CFA charterholder.

Tanja von-Ehrlich

UBS Asset Management, Head Wholesale Real Estate & Private Markets

Bio:

Tanja von-Ehrlich is Head of Wholesale for the Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) division of UBS Asset Management. She is responsible for managing products for the Wholesale channel and leading sales activities with Wholesale distributors globally in real estate, infrastructure, private equity and private credit. Prior to joining REPM in 2021, Tanja worked for 5 years as Head of Sales & Distribution for UBS Partner, a FinTech providing market-leading investment advisory technology to private banking institutions, working in Zurich and San Francisco. Previously, Tanja was a member of UBS AM's Core Product Offering Committee, which leads regional sales across all asset classes. Prior to that, she was responsible for M&A and Business Development for financial intermediaries at UBS Global Wealth Management in Switzerland and Singapore. Prior to joining UBS in 2012, Tanja was a research fellow at the Department of Economics at the University of Munich in Germany. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Game Theory.

Jonathan Gregory

UBS Asset Management, Head of Fixed Income UK, Senior Portfolio Manager

Bio:

Jonathan Gregory is Head of Fixed Income in the UK and a senior portfolio manager in the Fixed Income team. He is the lead portfolio manager on several credit and multi sector strategies. Jonathan is a member of the Fixed Income Investment Forum. Jonathan joined UBS Asset Management in 2010, having previously been Head of Credit and Portfolio Manager at Western Asset Management between 1998 and 2009. In that role he was responsible for managing Global, Euro and Sterling corporate bond portfolios and had significant involvement in the credit allocation for Global, Euro and UK aggregate portfolios. Prior to his 11 years at Western, Jonathan worked for NatWest Markets as a credit rating analyst and in corporate banking. He began his career in the mortgage industry as a loan officer and underwriter.

Thomas Kaegi

Bio:

Thomas Kaegi is the Head Wholesale Client Coverage APAC, as well as the Head of UBS Asset Management Singapore & SEA. He is the CEO and Chairman of UBS Asset Management (Singapore) Ltd. and also serves on the board of UBS Optimus Foundation Singapore Ltd. As the Head Wholesale Client Coverage APAC, Thomas is responsible for distribution efforts to fund distributors across the UBS AM product and service offering. As head of Asset Management Singapore & SEA, Thomas is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for the location, as well as ensuring engagement with clients, regulators, industry bodies and key stakeholders. Before moving to UBS Asset Management in 2015, Thomas worked in various leadership roles within distribution and research for UBS Global Wealth Management. He started his career with UBS in 2002 in Zurich and moved to Singapore in 2005.

Hayden Briscoe

UBS Asset Management, APAC Head of Multi-Asset Portfolio Management and Head of UBS Asset Management, Hong Kong

Bio:

Hayden is responsible for leading the portfolio management of UBS Asset Management’s APAC-based Multi-Asset portfolios, delivering the Investment Solutions global investment process into the APAC region, and growing the Investment Solutions business. He is also a member of the Investment Solutions Leadership team and Global Fixed Income Investment Forum. Along with his functional role, Hayden is the Head of UBS Asset Management Hong Kong and a member of the board of directors. Prior to joining UBS Asset Management, Hayden was a Senior Vice President and Director of Asia Pacific Fixed Income at Alliance Bernstein. In this role he was instrumental in building out their Asian fixed income platform and responsible for regional and country portfolios as well as having input in global aggregate strategies. Hayden previously worked at Schroders Investment Management Fixed Income and Multi-Asset, Colonial First State and Bankers Trust investment bank, where he fulfilled fund management, portfolio management, and trader roles.

Scott E. Dolan

UBS Asset Management, Head of US Multi-Sector Fixed Income

Bio:

Scott Dolan is the Head of US Multi-Sector Fixed Income, where he is responsible for managing the Core, Core Plus, Long Duration and Unconstrained investment strategies. He is also responsible for Securitized Portfolio Management, a role he assumed in 2008. He is a member of the Fixed Income Investment Forum. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Scott was a managing director and head of securitized assets for Citigroup Alternative Investments. In addition to his responsibilities as head of securitized investments, he was a key contributor to the interest rate outlook, yield curve and volatility decisions. Prior to Citigroup, he was a managing director and head of mortgages and structured assets for Bear Stearns Asset Management and a senior mortgage trader at the Clinton Group. He also worked at Deutsche Asset Management as a managing director and co-head of the Rates Group responsible for strategy, security selection and trading for MBS, ABS, agencies and treasuries. Scott started his career at Scudder, Stevens and Clark, where he managed total return fixed income mutual funds and institutional portfolios.

Aleksandar Ivanovic

UBS Asset Management, Head Client Coverage, Head of EMEA and Switzerland

Bio:

Aleksandar Ivanovic is Head of Client Coverage and Head of the EMEA and Switzerland regions for UBS Asset Management. He is a member of the UBS Asset Management Management Team, the UBS EMEA Executive Committee and the UBS Switzerland Executive Committee. Aleksander was appointed Head of Client Coverage in May 2018 and Head of EMEA in March 2019. He rejoined the firm in 2017 as Head of Institutional Client Coverage and was appointed Head of Switzerland in February 2018. As regional Head for EMEA and Switzerland, he is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for those regions, as well as ensuring engagement with clients, regulators, industry bodies and key stakeholders. Aleksandar previously worked at Morgan Stanley from 2011-2016 where he was Head of EMEA Distribution, and Financial Engineering for Structured Products, Institutional Equity Derivatives and Quantitative Investment Strategies. Prior to this he worked at Credit Suisse between 2008-2011 and he started his career in UBS from 1992-2008.

Jean-Luc Seidenberg

Bio:

Jean-Luc Seidenberg is Head of Multi-Managers Real Estate Europe, a business which forms part of Real Estate & Private Markets within UBS Asset Management (UBS-AM). Jean-Luc Seidenberg was appointed European Portfolio Manager for the Multi-Managers (MM) team in August 2011. He is responsible for investment selection and growing the MM client and product franchise as well as the Portfolio Manager for several separate account mandates. Prior to this, Jean-Luc joined Real Estate (RE) in August 2010 as Head of European Portfolio Management – UBS Global Property Fund (UBS-GPF). Jean-Luc is a member of the Investment and Management Committees for the Multi-Managers team and the Global Property Fund Disposition Committee. Jean-Luc is a guest member of the REPM European Management Committee.

Shou-Pin Choo

UBS Asset Management, Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst, Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities

Bio:

Shou-Pin Choo is a Portfolio Manager and Technology sector Analyst within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities team. He is a member of the Emerging Markets Strategy Committee and is based in Singapore. Shou-Pin is also the research coordinator for Asia ex-Japan. Prior to joining UBS Asset Management in 2000, Shou-Pin managed Asian equities at AIB Govett in Singapore. Previous industry experience includes positions as a central dealer and performance measurement specialist. Shou Pin holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.

Charlene Huang

Bio:

Charlene Huang was appointed Co-Head of Multi-Managers Real Estate APAC and is a Portfolio Manager for Multi-Managers Real Estate (MM-RE), a business which forms part of Real Estate & Private Markets within UBS Asset Management. She is responsible for investment selection and growing the MM-RE client and product franchise for the Asia Pacific region. Charlene first joined the APAC MM-RE team in 2011 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager. Charlene is a voting member of the UBS REPM APAC Management Committee, the MM-RE Global Investment Committee, as well as a member of the Singapore Risk and Local Management Committee of UBS Asset Management. Prior to relocating to Singapore in 2011, Charlene was working with the MM-RE team in London where she worked on the wind down of a large global portfolio of indirect real estate positions and investment programs. Charlene first started her career as an analyst at UBS Wealth Management in 2007. Prior to this, Charlene worked for MSCI-IPD in the UK, with a focus on performance analysis for real estate funds and companies.

Bio:

Uta Fehm is responsible for the analysis and management of investments in fixed income portfolios. Based on her many years of experience as a fixed income portfolio manager, Uta Fehm provides investment views and strategies for institutional clients worldwide. In this role, she also advises clients on fixed income strategies and represents fixed income portfolio management. Prior to joining UBS, Uta first worked for 3 years at Deutsche Asset Management in the Client Relation department. She later moved to the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team where she helped build the EM bonds business and managed portfolios for institutional clients. Uta has been in the investment industry since 1991 and has more than 20 years of experience in fixed income portfolio management with a focus on emerging market portfolios. Uta holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Technical University of Dresden (Germany).

As Head of UBS Asset Management Austria, Klaus Zentner is responsible for the distribution of UBS fund solutions and mandates via banks and other third-party wholesale relationships such as institutional client coverage in Austria. During his working career, Klaus has gained experience within the classic lending business of a universal bank, corporate client business and in asset management. Prior to joining UBS, he was responsible for successfully setting up a representative office in Austria for the UK company Schroders. Melanie has over 22 years of experience in the Banking and Asset Management industry and she is responsible for client relationship management and wholesale distribution in Singapore and South East Asia. Before joining UBS Asset Management in 2015, Melanie was Vice President at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, focusing on business development for the Private Wealth segment in Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to joining BNP Paribas Investment Partners in 2011, Melanie worked at Allianz Global Investors (AGI), where she focused on the distribution of their investment solutions. Before that, Melanie spent 5 years with DBS Bank as a Business Manager in the consumer banking group. She started her career as a Relationship Manager with OCBC Bank in 2000.

Bio:

Pascal Mercier, Director, is Head of the equity investment specialists and a senior investment specialist for thematic equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management. He joined the thematic equity group at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Zurich in 2018. Between 2009 and 2018, he was a portfolio manager and senior analyst at Edmond de Rothschild in Geneva, Switzerland, focusing on hedge funds’ solutions. Prior to that, he was an electrical engineer and project manager at Alstom. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (B.Eng.) from McGill University, Canada, and an master’s degree (M.Sc.) in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL).

Bio:

Denise is an Analyst and Equity Specialist in the Emerging Markets and China Equities team, based in Hong Kong. She is primarily responsible for investment analysis of China/Hong Kong equities, as well as supporting the marketing and communication of Chinese Equities strategies to existing and prospective clients globally. Denise joined UBS Asset Management and took on her current role in May 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Denise was a consultant at FactSet Research System in Hong Kong. Her responsibilities included developing and maintaining client relationships, as well as supporting clients in various asset management firms on portfolio analysis and quantitative modeling tools.

Bio:

In addition to his role as Head of Wholesale Client Coverage Southern Europe, Gianni was appointed Country Head Italy for Asset Management in November 2017. Previously, Gianni held responsibility for the Wholesale segment Italy and was nominated Chief Executive Officer of UBS AM SGR in 2005. Gianni started his career with UBS in 2001 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining UBS, Gianni worked for an Italian banking institution in roles spanning the world of Human Resources, business development and corporate banking. In his final role, Gianni held responsibility for the entire branch and financial advisor network of the bank.

Previously, he held the position of Head of Institutional Sales in Spain and Head of Sales in Portugal at Amundi Asset Management, where he worked for eight years. Bio:

Nina joined UBS AM in September 2019 as Head of Passive & ETF Specialist Sales Iberia & Latam. Nina Petrini stands out for her more than 18 years of experience in the Iberian financial sector, as a key member of local offices of large international investment banks. Previously, Nina was a Director in Global Equity Sales at Barclays Capital in Madrid. Over her 9 years there, her achievements included not only successfully launching the brand in the Iberian market, but also positioning the entity as a Top Tier Equity player. Nina started her career in 2001 at Lehman Brothers in Spain as a US Equity Sales, diligently ranking the entity in the region. She was also part of the transition to Nomura in Madrid, as a VP within the Investment Banking Division.
