Supplier Principles

UBS seeks to build relationships with suppliers who provide superior goods and services in an ethically and socially responsible manner. We require them to comply with standards of behavior and conduct business based on our Supply Management Values. We work closely with them to ensure our operations and services are not compromised on any level.

Suppliers must adhere to certain standards of conduct and business practices, as codified in our policies and guidelines.

Our Responsible Supply Chain Management (RSCM) Standard defines the business practices we expect from suppliers with regard to human and labor rights, the environment and anti-corruption practices. At the beginning of a potential supplier relationship, UBS assesses whether the supplier conducts business in compliance with the RSCM Standard. We aim to identify how the supplier can improve its business practices to maintain and strengthen such compliance for the duration of its relationship with us.

Our suppliers must also adhere to other policies or guidelines as may be prescribed by UBS from time to time, depending on the type of service or goods, country, and/or business area affected.
