Montreux Jazz Festival
5 – 20 July 2013
Music is alive, and you can feel its pulse at the Montreux Jazz Festival. When it was first held in 1967, the festival lasted three days and concentrated exclusively on jazz, but it has since grown into a magnificent international event.
Musicians from all over the world – newcomers and legends – will perform during two weeks. Music genres other than jazz have long since become part of the celebration and now high-class musicians representing just about every style of music produce a colourful mixture of sounds.
The numerous top acts will for the first time this year be performing on three different stages: in the well-known Stravinski Auditorium, new Montreux Jazz Lab and new Montreux Jazz Club. UBS has been one of the Festival's main sponsors since 1987.
