Beijing Music Festival
UBS's sponsorship of the Beijing Music Festival is in line with its deep global commitment to the promotion of excellence, innovation in the arts and culture.
From the debut performance of Mozart’s Requiem in China to Bach’s Cello Suites, and from the premiere of Handel’s complete Messiah to Haydn’s classic Nelsonmesse, the Church Concert has become a unique tradition of the Beijing Music Festival since the inaugural event in 2006. This year UBS is proud to present world-renowned Chinese pianist Li Yundi in concert at the Wangfujing Church.
Acclaimed both at home and abroad, Yundi remains the youngest and first Chinese winner of the Chopin International Piano Competition. Recognized as the leading extant performer of Chopin’s music, Yundi has performed at prestigious venues around the world. This concert marks his first return to the Beijing Music Festival since 2010. This unique performance will be held in the historic and picturesque Wangfujiang Church in Beijing.
UBS is proud to celebrate its 11th year supporting the Beijing Music Festival and promoting outstanding musicians from China, such as Yundi. This continued partnership reflects our long-standing commitment to the region and as UBS’s business in China grows, we are enormously proud to continue to support cultural initiatives across the country.
