The US Grand Prix returns to the F1 calendar for the first time since 2007, but moves to a new venue in Austin, Texas. This is the eighth different venue to host the US Grand Prix since the first event in 1959 but the first to have a permanent circuit specifically designed to host Formula 1: the Circuit of the Americas. The track features 20 corners, the first of which has an uphill approach. The first two sectors of the lap feature some high speed changes of direction and a long straight, while the third has some tight technical corners as well as one challenging and long high speed corner.
