Christian Wiesendanger has been appointed Head of Wealth Management Switzerland with effect from October 1, 2010. In this position, he will report to Lukas Gähwiler, the CEO of UBS Switzerland.

Mr. Wiesendanger started his career with the management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. In 2001, he moved to Credit Suisse, initially taking on responsibility for wealth management in central Switzerland before becoming the head of wealth management for Latin America.

He is replacing Stefan Bodmer, who has successfully guided Wealth Management Switzerland through a difficult period and under whose management the business has been stabilized and further developed. Having spent 23 years working for UBS, Stefan Bodmer has decided to take some time out and pursue new professional opportunities.
