UBS raises interest rates

Zurich / Basel | | Media Releases Switzerland

UBS is increasing interest rates by up to 0,375% for its Swiss franc and euro-denominated retirement provision and savings accounts.

Interest rates are also being raised for the UBS personal account Generation, UBS personal account Campus, UBS personal account 60plus and UBS personal account EUR. The changes will come into effect on 1 September 2007.

UBS is increasing the interest rates it pays on deposits in response to the ongoing rise in domestic and European long and short-term rates. This trend is supported by the sustained positive economic performance in Switzerland and Europe, as well as US economic data surpassing expectations.
