Mark Yallop, UK Group Country CEO
UBS has announced the appointment of Mark Yallop as UK Group Country CEO.
Mark who started on 25 February, is based in London, reporting to Ulrich Koerner, CEO UBS Group EMEA and Group COO, and will be responsible for overseeing all the Group's businesses and operations in the UK.
From 2005 to 2011, Mark was Group Chief Operating Officer at ICAP plc, based in London. He was a member of the ICAP Group Board and responsible for developing the firm’s strategy and building its electronic and post trade services businesses and group infrastructure during that period. Prior to ICAP, Mark worked at Deutsche Bank for 20 years. During this period, he was instrumental in building the bank’s trading and sales businesses and later, as COO Corporate and Investment Banking, in integrating the group’s investment banking and international corporate lending and transaction banking businesses. In his role as Chief Operating Officer for the Deutsche Bank Group, Mark was responsible for restructuring and managing large parts of the group’s infrastructure.
Mark has also served on the board of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and participated in numerous other industry initiatives over the past two decades. He currently sits on the board of The Centre for Social Justice and the Development Board of The Francis Crick Institute.
Since 2011, Mark has been pursuing interests outside finance.
