Delivering the vision: UBS tops European Equity Rankings
UBS recognized as the leading European equity house in the Thomson Reuters Extel Survey.
The Thomson Reuters Extel Survey today named UBS the leading Pan European Brokerage firm for Equity Linked Research for a record eleventh successive year and ranked UBS number one in the other two main disciplines of research: Sales (tenth consecutive year) and Equity Trading and Execution (second year & up from two in 2009). This year UBS was also named the Leading Pan European Brokerage firm for Operations for the fourth consecutive year and the Leading Pan European Brokerage Firm for Emerging EMEA (up from eighth).
Francois Gouws, Joint Global Head of Equities said: 'Retaining the top spot across the three main categories is outstanding, and having topped the survey in some categories for over a decade is a singularly remarkable achievement. We are very proud to be voted number one by our clients in this way, year after year. This is yet further proof that UBS is delivering on its vision to be the number one equity house.''
Mark Stockdale, Head of European Equity Research commented: '' Our success is a result of the continuity within the European research team and its consistent focus on knitting together macro output data with single stock recommendations within a global framework. I would like to thank all of the team for their hard work and inspiration in still volatile markets and our clients for their continued support.''
The Extel Awards follow the announcement in February this year that UBS has been named a top three all-European research team by Institutional Investor magazine for the tenth consecutive year.
