Institutional Investor today announced the results of the All Europe Research Team survey and UBS has been ranked number one in research for the seventh year running. UBS were top with a total of 33 ranked teams, three ahead of the second placed institution. According to Institutional Investor, the results reflect the opinions of more than 1,600 money managers at roughly 550 institutions managing an estimated $5.5 trillion in European equities.

First: Retailing/General, Household & Personal Care Products, Building & Construction, Autos & Auto Parts, Paper & Packaging, Metals & Mining, Chemicals, Business & Employment Services, Transport, Pan-European Small- & Midcap Stocks and Iberia.

Second: Tobacco, Utilities, Aerospace & Defence, Economics/Developed European Markets, Accounting & Valuation and Germany

Third: Luxury Goods, Biotechnology, Media, Quantitative Research and Switzerland

UBS were runners up in: Food Producers, Retailing/Food & Drug Chains, Oil & Gas, Property, Banks, Telecommunications Equipment, Specialty & Other Finance, Technology/Software, Equity Strategy/Developed European Markets, Insurance and Beverages.
