UBS brings wealthiest family offices to Singapore for Family Office Summit in Asia 2013
For the second year running, UBS hosted its flagship investment conference in Singapore for some of the wealthiest family offices in the world.
About the UBS Family Office Summit
The UBS Family Office Summit at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia in Singapore brought together over 130 global investors who manage the family fortunes of the wealthiest families from around the world to exchange ideas on investment trends, the economic outlook and opportunities. Held 6-7 June, the event was attended by CEOs, CIOs and principals of family offices from Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
At a time where investors are facing a challenging environment today and global economic growth remains weak while yields and return expectations are at historical lows, the conference focused on the theme "Investing in a Zero-Zero World".
Hosting the UBS Family Office Summit in Asia
Kathryn Shih, CEO of UBS Wealth Management Asia Pacific said: “We know that family offices are looking beyond the usual investment themes for exclusive opportunities in areas such as private markets, frontier markets, alternative investments and impact investing. The objective of the UBS Family Office Summit is to bring together thought leaders and top investors from around the globe for an exclusive discussion into the global investment climate and areas of opportunity for savvy investors. This exchange of ideas has never been as important as in a zero-zero world."
“The decision to host our flagship UBS Family Office Summit in Singapore for the second year running reaffirms the country’s importance as a pre-eminent wealth management centre, as well as a reflection of the growth of wealth creation in Asia. With 150 years of experience serving the world’s wealthiest families, UBS is able to bring together like-minded clients from across our global network to explore common topics and mutually beneficial opportunities,” added Edmund Koh, Singapore Country Head and CEO of UBS Wealth Management Singapore & APAC Hub.
