Mary Ann Deignan to join UBS as Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets

UBS announced today that Mary Ann Deignan will join the firm's Investment Banking Division as a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets. She will be based in New York and will report to Mark Connelly and Tom Fox, Co-Heads of U.S. Equity Capital Markets. Ms. Deignan is expected to join the firm in early June.

New York, April 14, 2004--UBS announced today that Mary Ann Deignan will join the firm's Investment Banking Division as a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets. She will be based in New York and will report to Mark Connelly and Tom Fox, Co-Heads of U.S. Equity Capital Markets. Ms. Deignan is expected to join the firm in early June.

Ms. Deignan is a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch where she has spent the last seven years of her career in Equity Capital Markets including working in execution and origination. Ms. Deignan joined Merrill Lynch in 1993 in Institutional Equity Sales. She began her career at Bankers Trust in Los Angeles where she worked in that firm's Leveraged Buyout Group.

Ms. Deignan earned her BA in History from Mount Holyoke College and her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
