UBS appoints Andre Esteves Global Head of Fixed Income
UBS announced today that Andre Esteves has been appointed Global Head of Fixed Income for UBS Investment Bank. Esteves, most recently Chairman and CEO of the firm's Latin American business, UBS Pactual, will relocate from Brazil to London. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the full suite of fixed income products across all regions. Esteves will continue to report to Huw Jenkins, Chairman and CEO of UBS Investment Bank. Esteves is a member of the UBS Group Managing Board.

Esteves will remain responsible for Latin America, continuing to leverage his client expertise and market knowledge in support of the firm's growth agenda across the region.
Esteves was the Managing Partner of Banco Pactual, which since its establishment in 1989 grew to be the leading independent investment bank in Brazil. Banco Pactual was acquired by UBS in 2006, in a transaction which significantly transformed UBS's Latin American operations. At Banco Pactual, Esteves held senior positions including Head of Fixed Income and was the Managing Partner and Member of the Executive Committee. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
