UBS is among a small number of businesses to receive three Business in the Community (BITC) National Big Tick Awards. One award was given for the overall Community Affairs programme in the Building Stronger Communities category, the second was awarded in the Education Category for UBS's partnership with the Bridge Academy, Hackney, and the third was for UBS's part in the employee volunteering partnership Project Shoreditch.

The Big Tick award is part of BITC's Awards for Excellence, one of the UK's most influential, independent, peer-assessed corporate responsibility awards. The Awards for Excellence acknowledge businesses which demonstrate the positive impact they have had on society and also the business benefits created by ensuring that being responsible is integral to their business model.
