In the second eco rating of Swiss companies conducted by business magazine Bilanz, UBS has gained top spot in the financial sector. In the magazine's cross-sector ranking UBS is ranked tenth and thus also among the top performers.

The data for the ranking were provided by Zurich-based sustainability rating agency INRate based on 25 of a total of 90 criteria it uses to assess companies. Among the 25 criteria are a company's environmental policy, its use of resources and its CO2 emissions. All data are collated within two main categories: product ecology and in-house ecology. In the latter category, UBS achieved the highest score among all companies across all sectors.
