While Risk Management is the primary responsibility of the front office and all individuals at UBS, the experienced team of Risk Controllers at UBS are responsible for providing independent oversight.

Risk is a control resource allocated to businesses to enable them to execute business plans. Risks are controlled through the establishment of methodologies to measure and assess risks (credit, market, country or operational), ensuring that the risks are made transparent, are expressed through the allocation of limits, and accomplished through having the effective infrastructure to support these processes.
