A new development is planned by the main station in the middle of Zurich, connecting District 1 with Districts 4 and 5. It will be located along the new Europa-Allee, which runs diagonally between Lagerstrasse and Kasernenstrasse. The new UBS building is on Europa-Allee between Eisgasse and Freischützgasse. The development features modern, urban architecture combined with generously designed open space to create an attractive area right in the heart of the city. Located beside the Zurich main station, the Europa-Allee is accessible by numerous tram and bus lines.

The new building has workstations, conference and training rooms, a staff restaurant and a UBS branch. The development also includes plots for shops and restaurants at ground-floor level to attract people to the area. They will combine with the surrounding areas to make a vibrant open space.

The entire project up to plot C was planned under the management of Max Dudler Architect in cooperation with D. Chipperfield and Gigon / Guyer. There will be four buildings in a windmill constellation with an inner courtyard, which will be connected to Europa-Allee and Lagerstrasse by wide passages.

Long-term building strategy
The new location is an opportunity to consolidate UBS buildings within Zurich as well as the network of buildings and locations around the city. This consolidation will optimize costs per workstation as part of a long-term building strategy.
