In air transport business the so-called «House Air Waybill (HAWB)» is common today. It is issued by forwarding agents for air freight consolidated shipments. The HAWB is deemed to be equivalent to the AWB in documentary operations as long as it is clear that the issuer assumes liability as the carrier or acts as the agent of the named carrier.
