UBS wants to support blind and visually impaired people by making the web site more accessible. We also want to comply with the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium W3C.
For many pages on the UBS Internet, we offer a barrier-free version. It is optimized for screen readers, people who are visually impaired or have issues with small fonts or fonts with low contrasts. The content on these pages is the same as on the standard version. All non-functional design elements have been taken away, however, and the contrasts and font-sizes have been optimized. Additionally, you should be able to magnify the pages with the standard zoom functionality of your browser, because most measures have been made relative.
For your convenience, we have included links to skip the left navigation and introduced a strict site structure. If you listen to an optimized page with your screen reader you will notice that the structure is enhanced by structural information elements. We have not implemented any access keys, because of a lack of standardization and for reasons of cross-browser compatibility.
If you have any comments to make about a specific UBS web page, please use the 'Rate this page' function at the bottom of the page. Your comments will then be transferred to the person responsible for this page within UBS.
