UBS is the first financial firm to sponsor a state secondary school as part of the government’s ‘Academy’ programme. Academies are publicly funded schools established by sponsors from business, faith or voluntary groups working in partnership with government and local education organisations. UBS will bring more to The Bridge Academy than financial contribution; employee volunteers will be able to contribute their skills, and UBS’ team of partners and consultants will bring innovative and creative ideas and practices to the establishment and management of the school. The Bridge Academy will provide outstanding educational provision for young people and play a major role in the regeneration of the local community.
