Income distributions and capital repayments

UBS will inform in good time of upcoming interest payments, distributions and capital repayments relating to your assets, enabling you to plan your reinvestments as early as possible. We make life doubly easier for you by managing all the different international payment methods and monitoring incoming payments.

Corporate actions

UBS is constantly monitoring the international financial markets. We receive information on upcoming corporate actions directly from various sources, such as our sub-custodians, the clearing companies, Telekurs and other information providers.
As a major player in the market, UBS is itself frequently involved in various corporate actions, either as a syndicate member or as paying agent, meaning that we have the latest information first-hand. This extensive knowledge is naturally passed on directly to you and your asset managers, providing you with sufficient time to make the right decision and inform us accordingly.

Proxy voting services

UBS Proxy Voting enables you to take full advantage of your membership rights in domestic and foreign companies and to act in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance. By exercising your voting rights, you actively influence the management decisions to the companies you have invested in. You can vote electronically or participate personally. When it comes to annual general meetings of Swiss companies, you have the option of appointing UBS as a proxy to exercise the voting rights attached to your shares. This way you'll be sure that your interests are being represented in a competent manner.

Securities trading

You can arrange for your stock exchange transactions and securities deliveries to be carried out worldwide by UBS, thus benefiting from UBS's international experience and highly developed infrastructure in custody settlement.

Reclamation of withholding tax

Most countries charge withholding tax on investment income on equities, bonds and other securities. Such taxes can usually be reclaimed in whole or in part if there is a double taxation agreement between the investment country and your tax domicile. This presupposes that your investment income is properly taxed in your tax domicile. The portion that cannot be reclaimed can generally be deducted from income tax in the tax domicile country (via a lump-sum tax credit).
