Collecting points

Examples

As a KeyClub member you receive points every quarter for your KeyClub assets and your credit card transactions. To help you understand the KeyClub point system, here are two examples of quarterly points calculations.

Example 1

Karin and Reto M. live with their two school-age children in a Zurich suburb.

The M. family took out a CHF 700,000 mortgage with UBS two years ago to pay for their house, and have about CHF 90,000 in their personal and savings accounts. The couple also have more than CHF 40,000 in a UBS Fiscainvest account (pillar 3).

Karin and Reto each have a UBS Gold credit card, and spent a total of CHF 7,000 on the two cards in the quarter we are looking at.

Points calculation:

KeyClub assets of CHF 830,000.

Tranche 1 (for the first CHF 100,000): 5 points
Tranche 2 (for the remaining CHF 730,000): 14.6 points

For the amount spent on the two UBS Gold cards: 42 points

  • Total points: 61.6

  • for the quarter

Example 2

Alain S. is 45, single, and a self-employed engineer.

Alain has just extended his five-year CHF 900,000 mortgage with UBS. He also has a UBS Fiscainvest account (pillar 3) with a balance of CHF 150,000 and around CHF 50,000 in his personal and savings accounts. His custody account is currently worth CHF 400,000.

Because he was travelling, Alain spent CHF 15,000 on his UBS Gold card during the quarter we are looking at.

Points calculation:

KeyClub assets of CHF 1,500,000.

Tranche 1 (for the first CHF 100,000): 5 points
Tranche 2 (for the remaining CHF 900,000): 18 points
Tranche 3 (for the remaining CHF 500,000): 5 points

For the amount spent on the UBS Gold card: 90 points

  • Total points: 118

  • for the quarter
