Tina Barney was among the first artists to present her work in a large format. Her large prints allowed the viewer to virtually enter the photograph.
CV
Tina Barney was born in New York in 1945. She currently divides her time between Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and New York.
In 1991, she received a fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.
Solo exhibitions (selection)
She is currently working on a major new series,
“The Europeans,” which she will exhibit at London’s Barbican Centre in February 2005. A book of the same title will be published by Steidl.
