The Heritage networks appeal to employees of different heritages who are interested in growing professionally through training and development, career management and networking opportunities.
The Heritage networks appeal to employees of different heritages who are interested in growing professionally through training and development, career management and networking opportunities.

The LEAD (League of Employees of African Descent) network was established to strengthen diversity within UBS by helping members grow professionally through training and development, career management and networking opportunities. The employee group strives to promote the recruitment, advancement and retention of employees of African descent within UBS.

Sample programs and events include: A celebration of Black History Month which included an art exhibit entitled "Roots to Renaissance" and a keynote address from John Rogers and Mellody Hobson from Ariel Capital Management. In addition the LEAD Network has also created networking opportunities with senior management with an ongoing Executive Speaker Series.

MOSAIC – The Black and Hispanic Employee Network. MOSAIC’s goal is to be a catalyst for change where employees from diverse ethnicities, cultures and social groups are included as full partners in decisions that shape the organization.

Sample events include: The annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration with the 2006 topic "Maximizing an Emerging Market: The Hispanic Community, 1/5 of the World's Population", which was attended by approximately 250 employees, and a speaker event on "Breaking Through: The Making of Minority Executives in Corporate America".
