Group Executive Board (GEB)

The GEB has executive management responsibility for the Group and is accountable to the Board for the firm’s results. The GEB, and in particular the CEO, is responsible for the implementation and results of the firm’s business strategies, for the alignment of the Business Groups to UBS’s business model and for the exploitation of synergies across the firm. The GEB fosters an entrepreneurial leadership spirit throughout the firm. The authorities of the GEB are defined in the Organization Regulations.

	Marcel Rohner (Group CEO) Marcel Rohner was appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) on 6 July 2007. Between October 2007 and February 2008 he was Chairman and CEO Investment Bank. He joined the Group Executive Board in 2002. CV

	John Cryan (Group Chief Financial Officer) John Cryan was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer and became a member of the Group Executive Board in September 2008. CV

	Markus U. Diethelm (Group General Counsel) Markus U. Diethelm became a member of the Group Executive Board and was appointed as Group General Counsel of UBS on 1st September 2008. CV

	John A. Fraser (Chairman and CEO Global Asset Management) John A. Fraser was appointed as Chairman and CEO of the Global Asset Management Business Group in late 2001 and became a member of the Group Executive Board in 2002. CV

	Marten Hoekstra (Deputy CEO Global WM&BB and Head Wealth Management Americas) Marten Hoekstra became a member of the Group Executive Board in 2008. He was appointed Head of Wealth Management US in July 2005 and Head of Wealth Management Americas and Deputy Head of Global Wealth Management & Business Banking on 7 November 2007. CV

	Jerker Johansson (Chairman and CEO Investment Bank) Jerker Johansson joined UBS and was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the UBS Investment Bank and became a member of the Group Executive Board on 13 February 2008. CV

	Joe Scoby (Group Chief Risk Officer) Joe Scoby was appointed Group Chief Risk Officer and became a member of the Group Executive Board in October 2007. CV

	Walter Stuerzinger (Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Center) Walter H. Stuerzinger joined the Group Executive Board in 2005. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Center in October 2007. CV

	Rory Tapner (Chairman and CEO Asia Pacific) Rory Tapner became a member of the Group Executive Board in January 2006. He was appointed Chairman and CEO Asia Pacific in May 2004. CV

	Raoul Weil (Chairman and CEO Global Wealth Management & Business Banking) Raoul Weil was appointed Chairman and CEO Global Wealth Management & Business Banking on 6 July 2007. He was Head of Wealth Management International between 2002 and 2007, and was appointed to the Group Executive Board in July 2005. CV

	Alex Wilmot-Sitwell (Chairman and CEO, UBS Group EMEA and Joint Global Head IB Department ) Alexander Wilmot-Sitwell became a member of the Group Executive Board in 2008. He is Joint Global Head of Investment Banking, Chairman & CEO, UBS Group EMEA. CV

	Robert Wolf (Chairman and CEO, UBS Group Americas / President and COO Investment Bank ) Robert Wolf became a member of the Group Executive Board in 2008. He was appointed as the President of UBS Investment Bank in 2007 and has been Chief Operating Officer of UBS Investment Bank since 2004. Since 2006 he also serves as Chairman & CEO for UBS Group Americas. CV
