Chip & Pin
Chip & Pin

How does Chip & PIN work?
Fast, secure and convenient: Chip technology uses sophisticated processing to identify genuine cards and makes counterfeiting more complex and expensive. The PIN you enter in the keypad is checked against the PIN held on the chip embedded in you charge card. This is used to verify your identity instead of checking a signature on a paper receipt.

If you have forgotten your PIN
You can request a PIN reminder by calling the UBS Assistance Centre using the international toll-free number as it appears on the back of your card*.

Changing your PIN
For security reasons, it is not possible to change you PIN code.

Blocked PIN
If you have incorrectly tried three consecutive times to key in your PIN, your PIN will be locked. This is to prevent fraudulent use of your card. In this case, you will have to request a new card and PIN free of charge by calling our UBS Assistance Centre *.
