A couple in their late 50s, already UBS clients, had reached a point in their lives where they had achieved a level of wealth they were truly content with. In fact, their assets were substantially more than they needed to live comfortably for the rest of their lives, and beyond. The husband decided it was time to retire, so they could devote more of their energies to their favorite hobby - playing the top golf courses around the world.

The couple happened to be discussing this decision with their UBS Client Advisor, one day. As a result, the Advisor suggested that it was time to reallocate the assets in their portfolio. A large portion of it had been growth oriented, and their new investment objectives were to preserve their existing assets, and generate income.
