Sponsorship has a long tradition at UBS in Switzerland, and for many years we have offered our services as sponsor at national, regional and local level.
We help support a wide variety of exceptional sporting and cultural events. Not only do our sponsorship commitments promote the cultural diversity of Switzerland; they also benefit you as a client of UBS.
Sport
For some time we have been proud sponsor of the Spengler Cup Davos as well as track and field meets Athletissima Lausanne and Weltklasse Zurich. In 2007 we were also involved in the Swiss Alpine Wrestling and Herdsman Festival. And we are especially looking forward to UEFA EURO 2008™ – the largest sporting event ever to take place in Switzerland. As national supporter, we will be right there in the front row.
Culture
Our cultural sponsorship commitments are exceptionally diverse. We have supported many events for several years, ranging from the Locarno International Film Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival through Art Basel and the Fondation Beyeler to the Zurich Opera House. And we are proud to be bringing a unique Van Gogh exhibition to Basel in 2009 as main sponsor.
Global reach
Our international sponsorship commitments are focused on four areas: Alinghi, golf, classical orchestral music and contemporary art. Many of the activities initiated in these areas are also used in our home market.
