Payments / cash withdrawals

UBS Credit Cards allow you to make simple and convenient cashless payments worldwide at over 24 million points of sale – all it takes is your signature. Please note that you are required to enter your PIN at most gas stations in Switzerland and at SBB ticket machines. Outside Switzerland, credit cards are often only accepted at staffed gas stations.

If you require cash, you can withdraw up to CHF 1,000 francs a day from ATMs using your PIN code. You can withdraw larger amounts (up to CHF 10,000 francs per withdrawal) at selected bank counters. You can withdraw up to 40% of your card limit (UBS MasterCard Platinum: 100% of your card limit). Any additional balances paid into your credit card account can be withdrawn in full (at ATMs up to CHF 1,000 francs per day).

Part-payment option

Pay your monthly bill in full or in convenient instalments (credit option). You can thus bridge cash flow gaps or take advantage of not-to-be-missed offers straight away, simply and discreetly.

Insurance

Travel and aviation accident insurance
You automatically receive free accident (disability or death) insurance cover for travel on public transport, provided you pay for your journey with your UBS credit card.

UBS Travel Insurance Plus (optional)
This insurance package protects you and your family from unforeseen financial risks before and during travel. Whether for travel cancellation, medical treatment or loss of luggage – taking out this insurance cover for only CHF 72 a year means that you can relax and feel safer on your travels (UBS MasterCard Platinum: included in annual fee).

Priority Pass

The Priority Pass (worth USD 99) is free of charge for Gold and Platinum Card holders, giving them access to over 500 exclusive airport lounges worldwide. These lounges provide you with an ideal location for relaxing and freshening up if you have to wait a long time between flights or if there are delays. The entry fee per person is normally CHF 38/USD 27 (UBS MasterCard Platinum: four admissions a year included in the annual fee for the main card and one additional card).

Interest on credit balances

You can also make payments to your credit card account. Interest of 1,125% is currently paid on credit balances of CHF 200 or more (up to CHF 50,000).
