UBS outlook - Economy today

UBS Swiss Economic Research periodically publishes studies on the Swiss economy, based partly on their own surveys of companies – broken down by sectors and regions – and partly on evaluations and analyses of secondary data. These studies are included in the quarterly client publication UBS outlook, where they are presented clearly and in depth.

In the current issue for the second quarter of 2008, the global liquidity and credit crisis acts as a leitmotif. Our 'special topic' article starting on page 5 discusses its consequences for the Swiss economy, while the contribution starting on page 20 looks at the situation on the Swiss business property market. The delicate imbalances in the world's currencies, and the expected realignments, act as another field of risks and are discussed in the article starting on page 15.
