UBS Structured Finance was mandated by Swisslog in August 2000 to sell a production site in the centre of Aarau. The site comprised a number of plots of land and buildings of varying ages and uses.

UBS completed preparations fort the sale, including data compilation and expert analyses, by the end of November 2000.

After offers were received from prospective buyers in February 2001, negotiations began with selected candidates and the transaction was completed with one of these in July 2001.

The solution adopted involved identifying the potential of the property portfolio in question and underlining its usefulness through the various interested users. Additional success factors included the transparent presentation of the basic data and the structured sale process.
