As a Swiss-registered company, UBS's home country regulator is the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

However, UBS's operations are global and are therefore regulated and supervised by the relevant authorities in each of the jurisdictions in which it conducts business.

This section describes the regulation and supervision of UBS's business in Switzerland, the firm's home market. The regulatory and supervisory environments in the US and the UK, UBS's next two largest areas of operations, are also discussed.
