Under Swiss company law, shareholders must approve in a shareholders’ meeting any increase in the total number of issued shares, which may arise from an ordinary share capital increase or the creation of conditional or authorized capital.

As of 30.06.2009, 3'225'849'284 shares were issued with a par value of CHF 0.10 each, leading to ordinary share capital of CHF 322'584'928.
