At 31 December 2008, UBS operated about 1,166 business and banking locations worldwide, of which about 36% were in Switzerland,
47% in the Americas, 12% in the rest of Europe, Middle East and Africa and 4% in Asia-Pacific. 36% of the business and banking
locations in Switzerland were owned directly by UBS, with the remainder, along with most of UBS's offices outside Switzerland,
being held under commercial leases.
These premises are subject to continuous maintenance and upgrading and are considered suitable and adequate for current and anticipated operations.
