What is Portable Alpha?
Portable Alpha is a financial engineering technique that transports alpha to a different market index or portfolio through the use of derivatives.
Global Investment Solutions and Portable Alpha
Building on our 25 years of experience in global multi-asset portfolios, we are launching portable alpha solutions.
In these solutions, like our global multi-asset portfolios, we will be able to employ our full suite of multiple investment tools – active asset allocation, market allocation, security selection, currency management, alternative assets, and risk managing derivatives.
One of our first portable alpha strategies will be an integrated solution for pension plans that combines a liability hedging portfolio and a return generating portfolio into a single strategy.
Global Investment Solutions will have the flexibility to create customized client solutions using multiple alpha sources and beta choices.
