Immediate responsibility

Internships begin with orientation and training to help you get to know what we do, how things work and prepare you to join your team.

It’s usual for interns to work in one area of our business for the duration of their program. However, there may be opportunities for you to rotate through various desks and departments, depending on your region. Either way, you’ll have plenty of chances to talk to colleagues, find out more about what we do and discover what might interest you as a career.

You’ll be welcomed as one of the team and given immediate responsibilities and projects to manage. You’ll be asked to tackle real issues and your work could end up improving how we do things, or influencing business strategy.

We aim to give you the most realistic view of our business, culture and workplace environment, and for us to get to know you better.

Constant involvement

Successful interns get involved. We expect you to contribute to the success of the team. You’ll be at the heart of everything that takes place on a day to day basis, offering ideas and perspectives, asking questions and helping to solve problems. You’ll be encouraged to voice your opinions and express yourself in an environment that’s respectful and supportive.

You’ll meet lots of people and encounter lots of different points of view too. You’ll get to know your team and other interns, both in the workplace and socially. You may also meet colleagues in other parts of UBS, clients and people we work with outside of the organization.
