UBS Insights London
Thinking about a summer internship? Find out if it’s right for you with UBS Insights, which offers you a chance to spend a week in our London offices on either 28 March - 1 April or 4 - 8 April 2011. It’ll give you an invaluable insider’s view of what it’s really like to work here – and you could be fast-tracked onto our summer internship in 2012.
You’ll learn about all the areas within the investment bank and you’ll meet the people who are doing the jobs you’re interested in. You’ve probably heard about our friendly, collaborative culture. UBS Insights is a chance to experience it for yourself.
Get accepted onto UBS Insights and you'll:
Observe up-close the daily life of a banking professional by work shadowing someone in your chosen field.
Experience the thrill of the trading floor with an exclusive tour.
Learn the insider secrets for succeeding at assessment centres.
Collaborate and compete with your peers in a fast-paced trading game.
Test your market instincts with a case study exercise that will have you thinking on your feet and negotiating with your peers.
Quiz current graduates on what they really think about life at UBS.
Socialise with your fellow students at a fun pub quiz and informal dinner.
Practical information
Travel and accommodation provided if you live outside London.
Typical working hours 8am-5pm (plus a couple of social events in the evening).
Work shadowing available in the following areas:
- Finance and Accounting
- Investment Banking Department
- IT
- Operations
- Research
- Sales and Trading (in Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities or Equities)
Before you apply you’ll need to research which of these areas is right for you, as this will be the part of the business you’ll be assessed in for our summer internship*.
Interested? Then apply for UBS Insights by 16 January 2011. Applications open 1 September 2010. We assess candidates on a rolling basis, so don’t delay.
*You will only be assessed for a summer internship if you successfully complete the paper numerical reasoning test which is given mid week of the program.

Our UBS Insights program is held over 3 days in our Hong Kong office during the summer from Tuesday 1 June to Wednesday 3 June, 2010.
As part of the program, the students who attend UBS Insights have the opportunity to participate in early assessments for summer internships.
