What are they?
These programs offer highly qualified university graduates (incl. technical college graduates, and graduates of university of applied sciences) the ideal foundation for achieving your goals in our industry.

How long do they last?
Over the course of the 18-24 month program, participants receive training tailored to a specific career objective.

What will you be doing?
Recruits are integrated into respective teams and supported by supervisors and management to ensure day-to-day involvement in business operations and projects. Some positions involve rotations within a business group between related business areas.

When does it begin?
The availability of programs and positions is determined by the recruiting needs of the business. Some recruit throughout the year, while others have specific deadlines. Find detailed information in our Deadlines and contacts section.

What makes them unique?

  • On-the-job experience

Many businesses use varied rotations to broaden your understanding. In some cases, this can involve assignment to another business area or office. You gain insight into the challenges you can expect to encounter and are able to build contacts and explore areas of interest.

  • Off-the-job training
Each program provides intensive education on the financial markets, UBS products and other core topics. A modular structure breaks down a mass of complex information into manageable elements. Some programs include professional qualifications, such as Series 7, the CFA and the CIPD.

  • Teaching methods

We use a variety of teaching methods to keep things interesting and engaging. These include classroom instruction, case studies, presentations, practical exercises, E-learning sessions and hands-on learning.

  • Networking

All programs have a networking component. Networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions provide opportunities to get to know people across the firm. Senior managers often participate to give you a personal perspective on the firm’s strategy and goals.

  • Support

Demonstrating the value we place on your development, personal support is constantly available through your line,or local Human Resources. You may also be assigned a formal mentor or buddy to give guidance and encouragement.

  • Placement

Upon completion, your skills and preferences are aligned to the needs of the business to identify the most suitable position or next steps for you.

  • Continued growth

An individual development plan helps you to continually build your skills and extend your competencies as your career progresses.
