Whether a sports novice or an accomplished professional, the event offers sportsmen and women the chance to test their running skills over a course of appropriate length, ranging from two to nine kilometres.
The first to race are young children at least 6 years old, followed by the categories schoolchildren, teenagers and adults. All the races end at the «Parc des Bastions» beside the imposing Reformation Statue, a fitting end to an unforgettable experience.
As darkness falls, torches will illuminate the houses and streets of the old town, creating a medieval atmosphere. The day's climax comes with «la marmite», a public 'race' when all the running categories join together to cover a distance of 3.4 kilometres.
