Verbier Festival
Each year, the Verbier Festival transforms this mountain resort into a meeting place for international artists for a period of two weeks.

Master classes
Although this event was only initiated in 1994, it has already firmly established itself in the European festival calendar. Alongside concerts, it also offers master classes in classical music, jazz, theatre and dance.
UBS has been supporting this event as main sponsor ever since its inception in 1994.
Two distinct components
The Verbier Festival comprises two distinct components, the first of which is an annual festival which brings together internationally renowned performers in the magnificent setting of the Valais Alps. The top-quality concerts and recitals given by outstanding ensembles and soloists are the central attraction of this event.
The other component is the Academy, which uses the presence of leading conductors and musicians for more than simply performances on stage. Many of them are invited to stay for an extended period, and they form a kind of artistic community which joins forces in the quest for new horizons for chamber music. At the same time, they give master classes in classical music, jazz, theatre and dance that are organised by the Academy and are open to the public.
