UBS sponsors musical college institution in Brussels

UBS will sponsor the Queen Elisabeth College of Music, a musical college institution in Brussels till 2007 within the framework of its orchestral music global sponsoring platform.

UBS has just signed a sponsoring contract with Queen Elisabeth College of Music, a college institution for young musicians. UBS supports this project as a main sponsor.

With this new project, the firm broadens and deepens its sponsoring activities in the context of its Orchestral Music global sponsoring platform, which includes among others the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra (UBS VFO), the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra's Education Centre, the "LSO St Luke's, UBS and LSO Music Education Centre".

The Queen Elisabeth College of Music reinforces UBS's commitment in supporting promising young talent and will provide further synergies within the Orchestral Music global sponsoring platform. For example joint performances between the young artists of the Queen Elisabeth College of Music and the UBS VFO are planned for the next three years. UBS will also be able to invite clients to events including a Gala concert in Brussels with members of the UBS VFO and the Queen Elisabeth College of Music.

1. Chappelle Musical Reine Elisabeth

The Queen Elisabeth College of Music dates back to over half a century as a college institution for young musicians. Its teaching approach is based on three main directions: openness, flexibility and in-search of excellence. Top level teaching offers study cycles and advanced studies for young people aged between 12 to approximately 26 years in piano, voice and violin.

Renowned musicians (José Van Dam voice, Augustin Dumay violin, Abdel R. El Bacha, piano) pass on their skills and knowledge as professors to the young talented musicians helping them to build a career as future soloists. The college will strengthen its collaboration with a number of prestigious national and international institutions in order to provide maximum support to promising young musicians.
