The International Mozarteum Foundation is especially well-known because of the renowned “Mozart Week” which takes place every year at the end of January at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria). Many people travel to Salzburg to attend one of these exceptional concerts. Since February 2008 UBS is the main sponsor of the Foundation.

The International Mozarteum Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization and was founded in 1880 by citizens of the city of Salzburg. The Foundation is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The sponsorship of UBS covers all areas of the foundation's work: Included in this are events and concerts such as the Mozart Week, the Dialogues Festival and the "Young Artists" concert series, as well as support of the two Mozart museums – Mozart's Birthplace at Getreidegasse and the Mozart Residence at Makartplatz – plus all research activities. Long-established tradition in harmony with innovative solutions is a defining feature of success in the financial sector as well as for cultural commitments. This partnership builds bridges from the traditional to the contemporary and serves to preserve the memory of a distinguished composer.
