Group Executive Board (GEB)

The GEB has executive management responsibility for the Group and is accountable to the Board for the firm’s results. The GEB, and in particular the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), is responsible for the implementation and results of the firm’s business strategies, for the alignment of the Business Groups to UBS’s business model and for the exploitation of synergies across the firm. The GEB fosters an entrepreneurial leadership spirit throughout the firm. The authorities of the GEB are defined in the Organization regulations.

	Oswald J. Grübel (Group Chief Executive Officer) Oswald J. Grübel was named UBS Group Chief Executive Officer on 26 February 2009. CV

	John Cryan (Group Chief Financial Officer) John Cryan was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer in 2008 and became a member of the Group Executive Board (GEB) at the same time. CV

	Markus U. Diethelm (Group General Counsel) Markus U. Diethelm was appointed Group General Counsel of UBS in 2008 and became a member of the GEB at the same time. CV

	John A. Fraser (Chairman and CEO Global Asset Management) John A. Fraser was appointed Chairman and CEO of the Global Asset Management division in 2001 and became a member of the GEB in 2002. CV

	Marten Hoekstra (CEO Wealth Management Americas) Since 10 February 2009 Marten Hoekstra heads the business division Wealth Management Americas. He became a member of the Group Executive Board in 2008. CV

	Carsten Kengeter (co-CEO Investment Bank) Carsten Kengeter was appointed co-CEO Investment Bank and became member of the GEB on 27 April 2009. CV

	Ulrich Körner (Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer Corporate Center) Ulrich Körner has been appointed Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer Corporate Center as of 1 April 2009. He is also a member of the Group Executive Board. CV

	Philip J. Lofts (Group Chief Risk Officer) Philip Lofts was appointed Group CRO and member of the GEB in 2008. CV

	Francesco Morra (CEO Switzerland, Wealth Management & Swiss Bank) Francesco Morra was appointed CEO Switzerland, Wealth Management & Swiss Bank, and became a member of the GEB on February 2009. CV

	Alexander Wilmot-Sitwell (co-CEO Investment Bank) Alexander Wilmot-Sitwell was appointed co-CEO Investment Bank on 27 April 2009. He became member of the GEB in 2008. CV

	Robert Wolf (Chairman and CEO, UBS Group Americas / President Investment Bank) Robert Wolf was appointed President of the UBS Investment Bank in 2007 and became a member of the GEB in 2008. CV

	Chi-Won Yoon (Chairman and CEO Asia Pacific) Chi-Won Yoon became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UBS AG, Asia Pacific (APAC) and a member of the UBS Group Executive Board in June 2009. CV
