Work-Life Balance

We all lead busy, complex lives with many demands on our time and energy. UBS believes that part of our responsibility, as an employer is to recognize that our staff has lives outside work and that there is a close relationship between their home-life and their motivation at work. Furthermore we believe that people who have an appropriate balance between their home and work lives are likely to make a greater contribution at work.

Our work-life balance initiatives aim to provide support – in many different forms – throughout the working life and to reflect the changing concerns and priorities.

We appreciate that work-life balance is about individuals – our initiatives are about helping each and every employee to get the right balance and deal with the challenges that both home and work life generate.

In order to strive to accomplish this goal, we have established in some regions the following initiatives:

UBS realizes that work-life balance means different things to different employees at different times in their career. In order to help employees work towards achieving their desired work-life balance, UBS has put in place a range of initiatives, policies, educational tools and corporate programs. In respecting work-life balance we hope that our employees feel more valued and thus more committed to UBS.
