Places academically talented but disadvantaged young people of minority origin in some of the finest preparatory schools. It has assisted more than 11,000 middle and high school students, 99% of whom have gone to college.

Serves over 150,000 underserved New York City families by providing programs to ensure their physical and emotional well-being. Innovative educational and career exploration programs are available for youth.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

This charity is the largest non-governmental supporter of diabetes research in the world.

UBS assistance: Since 1995, employees have raised over USD10m by taking part in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. More than 7,000 employees and families took part in the 2004 event, which took place in 175 cities across the US. 20 UBS employees serve on the JDRF Boards in chapters across the US.

Recruits and trains a new generation of principals for the NYC public school system.

UBS assistance: Founding corporate partner of the Academy. Hosts an Educator’s Day at the Museum of Modern Art and provides 1,300 schools with art education tools related to specific images and themes within the Contemporary Voices: Works From the UBS Art Collection exhibition.

A daily, literacy-based, after-school program for elementary school students that fosters innovative approaches to learning.
