Reporting and assurance

UBS strives to report openly and transparently about the firm's corporate responsibility strategy and activities. A detailed overview of key corporate responsibility activities and developments is provided in the UBS annual report. Since 2000, we have used this core reporting tool to communicate on our efforts, since 2005 also by means of a section on "Employees".

All information provided in the annual report is directly mirrored on the UBS corporate responsibility website and, if pertaining to the firm's employees, on the Employees website. Moreover, topics and information additional to the contents of the annual report are provided on both websites.

UBS's reporting efforts are assessed externally. Most recently and significantly, we had our 2008 sustainability disclosure externally assured against the GRI. The assurance was conducted by SGS which were satisfied that UBS's sustainability disclosure as referenced in the GRI index meets the requirements of level A+ of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative).
